President's Report (August 2026)

Dear PRAL-BR Members,
Where has the summer gone!? Over the last couple of months, I hope you were able to enjoy even a little bit of rest and relaxation.
Things are heating up here at PRAL-BR. Our board of directors has been hard at work plotting out the rest of our calendar year and ensuring that you, our members, have plenty of opportunities for professional development, learning and networking.
We hope you’ll join us for our first lunch session since the summer break. We are excited to have EBR Parish Library’s Mary Stein serve as our speaker on August 18. If you know Mary, you know that she is a wealth of information and a passionate advocate for our library system. She and her team are coming off of a great victory at the ballot box as EBR voters just approved a 10-year tax renewal for the library system.
It’s evident that EBRPL has a great reputation and widespread approval among voters. This didn’t just happen by accident. Mary’s team has spent years communicating with the public, developing effective messaging and advocating to various stakeholders across our community.
I’m excited to learn from Mary and see how we can apply some of her insights to our own campaign work and projects.
Finally, as we move on from summer, I want to thank Dr. Chris Yandle and his team at PRSA Baton Rouge for their collaboration with our Summer Learning Series. We’re grateful for their partnership and look forward to many more opportunities to bring our two organizations together.
Sincerely,
Ryan Sinitiere
PRAL-BR President
