President's Report (September 2026)

Dear PRAL-BR Members,
We’re in the “BER” months! Have you sipped on your first pumpkin spice latte, yet?
We really enjoyed having Mary Stein from the EBR Parish Library join us for August lunch. Thank you to everyone who attended! We hope you enjoyed the lunch experience at Sullivan’s Steakhouse and took note of the new check-in/menu selection process. Please feel free to share any feedback with us and ways in which we can continue to bring even greater value to our lunches and networking events. Contact me directly or email [email protected].
In the meantime, please mark your calendars for some fun events happening this month. Join us for coffee on September 10 at Brew Ha-Ha! as we visit with John Walton, News Director at Louisiana First News. John has a wealth of experience in the news business and has seen it all! He’s sure to have plenty of insights and experience to share with us as we engage with members of the local media.
A few days later, on September 15, we’ll meet again for lunch and hear from Manship Theatre Director of Marketing & Communications, Lauren Lambert-Tompkins. She'll share ways in which she connects artists with audiences at Manship Theatre and in leadership roles with several of the city's prominent arts and entertainment organizations, including Baton Rouge Blues Festival & Foundation and Live After Five. When we talk about “quality of place,” we’re talking about assets in our region like the Manship Theatre and great local events where we’re able to gather together as a community. Please join us – this discussion will be a good one.
Last thing! September is Ethics Month. As you know, public relations and communications professionals have a responsibility to their clients, organizations, and the profession to uphold the highest standards of ethical practice. All month long, our social media will feature some important aspects of ethics and how we can best incorporate some of these important rules in the work we do every day. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn!
Sincerely,
Ryan Sinitiere
PRAL-BR President
